Revelations Technology was originally formed in 2000 to develop custom mission-critical applications for small businesses. A pivotal moment in the company’s history occurred in July 2004 as Mr. Joseph J. Baker, President & CEO, began working full time on developing the business and establishing long term relationships with customers.

The genesis for the company’s flagship software product, smartTMS™, was based on Mr. Baker's 4 years of experience at freightPro, an Overland Park, Kansas based starup 3PL, learning about freight transportation and how desperate the industry needed robust, flexible web-based software tools that could contribute significantly to the bottom line of shippers, 3PLs, agents, and freight forwarders.

The company has been actively developing smartTMS™ since June, 2005, and brought the first customers on board in early 2006.

With over 30 years of combined software development and project management experience, and over 15 years in transportation and logistics experience, Revelations Technology has the ability to see the big picture and break down customer problems into manageable tasks and provide straight forward, common sense solutions that meet or exceed the customer's requirements.
